karen herrera (she/her), analyst

Karen supports clients with system design and enhancements, ongoing support, and training. Prior to joining 1892, Karen was at the J Paul Getty Trust where she was the foundation's primary Fluxx administrator. During her time at Getty, Karen led portal revamp projects, configured and implemented digital automations, and designed and facilitated staff training. Karen is a certified Fluxx administrator.

In 2022, Karen was selected as an Emerging Leader through the TAG Emerging Leaders Initiative. In her work pre-philanthropy, Karen spearheaded implementation projects in the broad tech sector at companies including ADP. 

Karen received her B.A. in Art from Pomona College. In her spare time she can be found exploring the Southwest, creating content for her latest zine, or rewatching episodes of Abbott Elementary.
